Thanks for turning onto my little spur of the
information highway.
I'm 49 and enjoying life in the metropolis of
Polk City, FL. This was a huge
change coming from
Naperville, one of Chicago's far west suburbs. Living there from
about 1988-2013. It was a great place to be in the summer months but I
made a point of traveling to warmer climates in the colder ones.
Now living in Florida I don't have to escape the winter's
bite...getting away from here in the summer is the new plan.
I am grateful to be in a situation where I can travel frequently.
With that I go to our motorhome (The Enterprise) that resides in the
West or North part of the country for the summers. I really enjoy
outdoor activities so FL was a perfect choice especially for
powered paragliding pictured to the right.
When I moved I also left my job as a training manager at Wendy's. I
now run our publishing business from home
FootFlyer.com.
We ended up where we did because the community has a private
airstrip, Flanders Field.
Jeff, my partner, is a flyer of many things so we gave up the suburban
life for a more rural relaxed country lifestyle. We are loving it,
although it took some time for me to get used to driving so far to
shop.
I do enjoy sharing my adventures.
Therein lies the problem, making time to update the website. I started
it in 2004 and have a lot of pictures and stories to add someday.
